PROMOTIONAL COMPETITION RULES AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Promoter. This promotional competition is conducted by TW EXEC Furnishers (Pty) Ltd, trading as Truewood Furniture (“Truewood”, “we”, “us”), in terms of Section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Regulations made under that Act.
2. Competition period. Entries open on 22 June 2026 and close on 23 August 2026 at 23:59. No entries received after the closing time will be considered.
3. No purchase necessary. No purchase is required to enter. Entry is free. A purchase is not a condition of entry and does not improve a participant’s chance of winning beyond the additional entries described in clause 5, which additional entries may also be obtained through free actions.
4. How to enter. To enter, request a personalised quote from any Truewood Furniture store during the competition period. Each valid quote request constitutes one (1) entry.
4.1 A participant may only receive one (1) entry for requesting a quote, irrespective of the number of quotes requested during the competition period. Multiple quote requests by the same participant do not qualify for additional entries. Additional entries may only be earned in accordance with clause 5.
5. Additional entries. A participant may earn additional entries as follows: sharing the official competition post (one additional entry); liking and commenting on the official competition post (one additional entry); and placing an order during the competition period (five additional entries). Each entry is allocated a sequential number in the order in which it is received.
6. Early bird bonus. A participant who requests a quote before 26 July 2026 stands a chance to win an additional R10,000 Truewood gift voucher. The voucher is valid for six (6) months from the date of issue, is redeemable only against Truewood products at standard retail prices, is not transferable, and is not redeemable for cash.
7. Eligibility. The competition is open to all natural persons who hold a valid quote within the competition period and who comply with these rules. The following persons are excluded from entry: the directors, members, employees, agents and consultants of Truewood and its associated companies; the spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners of such persons; and any other person involved in the conducting of this competition.
8. The prize. One (1) winner will receive Truewood furniture products of their choice up to the value of R150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand rand), selected from Truewood’s current standard product range at standard retail prices. The prize includes delivery within 50km of the nearest Truewood store. Delivery beyond 50km is for the winner’s own account at standard delivery rates. The prize is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash. Any unused balance below R150,000 is forfeited, and no change or cash equivalent is given.
9. Prize selection. The winner must select and place the order for the chosen products within thirty (30) days of the notification date. Products not selected and ordered within this period are forfeited.
10. The draw. The winner will be selected by random draw from all valid numbered entries on 31 August 2026 at 10:00 at Truewood’s head office, 904 Haarlem Street, Roseville, Pretoria. The draw will be conducted in the presence of an independent person, being an independent accountant, auditor or attorney, who will certify that the draw was conducted fairly and at random.
11. Validation and redraw. Before the prize is awarded, the drawn entry will be validated against these rules. If the drawn entrant is found to be ineligible, or cannot be contacted in accordance with clause 12, a redraw will take place on the same basis.
12. Notification of the winner. The winner will be notified using the contact details provided with the quote, by telephone and by email or WhatsApp. If the winner cannot be reached, or does not respond to claim the prize, within five (5) days of the first notification attempt, the prize will be forfeited and a redraw will take place.
13. Publicity. The winner may be requested to take part in publicity relating to the competition. The winner is entitled to decline such participation, and participation is not a condition of receiving the prize.
14. Records. Records of all entries and of the result of the draw will be retained for a period of three (3) years and are available for inspection on reasonable request, in accordance with the Regulations.
15. Personal information. By entering, a participant consents to the processing of their personal information for the purpose of administering this competition, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. Truewood will not be liable for any entry that is lost, delayed or not received for any reason. Save where the law provides otherwise, Truewood’s decision on all matters relating to the competition is final.
16. Availability of these rules. These rules are available free of charge at www.truewoodfurniture.co.za and at any Truewood Furniture store for the duration of the competition.
